Nurses historically volunteered duties because they were angels. Currently we remain a workforce of predominantly women. But we are not angels... we are highly educated, problem-solvers whom advocate for our patients, work extraordinary hard, in some of the most challenging work environments. Po0r past negotiations and an inability to price our value has us here... today... advocating for our worth. Every health service needs quality nurses...or it fails. To maintain and recruit we need to an offer no less than a 8% increase including a robust future protection plan. This will not take us from being underpaid us an educated workforce but it may stop nurses leaving the workforce. We deserve it! NZNO this is your problem to solve. Advocate for us.
